This page shows the variable speed limits National Highways are showing on the overhead signals on England’s motorways right now — the numbers in red rings you see above the lanes when there are queues, an incident or roadworks ahead. They are listed road by road, in junction order in the direction of travel.
A speed in a red ring is a mandatory limit. A number without the ring is advisory. National Highways change these every few minutes, so each one shows when it was set and when we last checked.
